LUIS A. MIRANDA, JR. has served in three New York City mayoral administrations. A special advisor for Hispanic Affairs to former Mayor Edward I. Koch, Mr. Miranda served as director of the Mayor’s Office for Hispanic Affairs from 1984 to 1987. He was director of field services and research at the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering and held managerial positions at the Community Service Society, the NYC Department of Employment, the NYC Board of Education, and Aspira of New York.
ROBERTO RAMIREZ, ESQ. is a licensed attorney and graduate of NYU law school. Mr. Ramirez served as Of Counsel to the national labor law firm of Whatley, Drake & Kallas, LLC. and from 1998-1999 served as Of Counsel to McConnell Valdes LLC, one of the largest Hispanic-owned law firms in the world, offering services in areas of corporate and commercial practice.
EDUARDO CASTELL brings over 20 years of experience as a campaign professional and government executive. Until the end of last year, Mr. Castell served as Executive Deputy Comptroller for the City of New York. As a member of the Comptroller’s senior staff, he helped manage an agency with a $65 million operating budget, over 700 employees, and a pension portfolio exceeding $100 billion. Mr. Castell served as the chief liaison to federal, state and municipal governments and elected officials.
CATHERINE TORRES, ESQ. is a licensed attorney and graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Torres has over 15 years of combined government and management experience. Ms. Torres has served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the New York City Council. Ms. Torres managed and oversaw 13 Committees in the New York City Council including, Human Services, Investigations and State & Federal Issues Divisions. She was responsible for public policy development and legislative lobbying.
